Education about Religions

As parents, how do you go about talking to your kids about God and religion?⠀
What will you tell them?⠀
When?⠀
And how?⠀

Whether your religion be Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Islam, Sikhism, folk religion, or Christian or whether you consider yourself as atheist or nothing at all, we all share a common goal we should unite for; 𝑻𝒐 𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒅, 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒐𝒍𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒌𝒊𝒅𝒔⠀

The truth is, there is religion all around us, even in school.⠀

What is religion? Why did it come around? And why is it so important to people? These are the questions your child might have when meeting other children with different beliefs and traditions.⠀

If unanswered properly, you could compromise all chances of raising a tolerant, open‑minded and understanding child. Kids are able to make up their minds but often need guidance. It is important to let them know that religion is part of human history. We can see it everywhere, in culture’s language, in songs, in poetry, in monuments, in works of art and more. ⠀

The good new is that religion, when approached with compassion and open‑mindedness is a true gift. While shaping and preparing your child to coexist in peace with others in this world, it also brings a lot of magic! The stories, whether it be about Jesus, Abraham, Shiva or Mohammed are all great stories.⠀

If well told with interesting‑looking books, not only will it be fun for you and your child, but they are more likely to remember them after and therefore better understand other’s beliefs and way of thinking.⠀
